چکیده
The tetralin hydrocracking process into benzene, toluene, and xylenes (BTX) was investigated over metal-modified (Ga, Nb, Ni, NiMo, Sn, W, Zr or H3[P(W3O10)4])/ZSM-5 zeolite catalysts without sulfidation procedures, mechanism analyzed, compared with a pristine microporous material in packed bed reactor under applied atmospheric pressure (p). This experimental study presents an investigation of the metal-promoted ZSM-5 for BTX production ambient p first continuously-operated time. It is demonstrated that metal-wise there are no significant improvements formation BTX. yield 43.1 mol% towards parent HZSM-5 (SiO2/Al2O3 = 30) at 420 °C after 4 h on time stream (TOS) achieved, while methane, ethylene, ethane, propylene propane were main gas products. outstanding functional performance mainly ascribed to structure, its high dealkylation measured large amount solid surface area tandem porosity, protonating total Brønsted (BAS)/Lewis (LAS) acidity BAS/LAS ratio. However, dropped drastically increasing TOS due coke. found most affected within studied reaction conditions, but could be easily regenerated preserving realistic catalytic chemistry. pathway cracking proposed. Simultaneously, 5wt%Zr/ZSM-5 catalyst possessed highest selectivity (SBTX 24.2 mol%; 25 h; 370 °C) low diffusion thermomigration species framework same conditions long TOS. All these findings shed light, how incorporation different metals affects selectivity.

Detection of benzene, toluene, ethyl benzene, and xylenes (BTEX) using toluene dioxygenase-peroxidase coupling reactions.
We have developed a simple, whole-cell bioassay for the detection of bioavailable benzene, toluene, ethyl benzene, and xylenes (BTEX) and similar compounds. A genetically engineered E. coli strain expressing toluene dioxygenase (TDO) and toluene dihydrodiol dehydrogenase (TodD) was constructed, enabling the conversion of BTEX into their respective catechols, which were quickly converted into co...
متن کاملXylenes Reactions and Diffusions in ZSM-5 Zeolite based Catalyst
Xylenes transformations have been investigated over ZSM-5 zeolite in a riser simulator that mimics closely the operation of commercial fluidized-bed reactors. P-xylene was found to be more reactive than the other isomers followed by o-xylene and m-xylene was found to be least reactive. The order of reactivity is consistent with the order of diffusivity. At low temperature (400°C), isomerization...

Nickel supported on SBA-15 doped with CeO2 catalysts (Ni-CeO2/SBA-15) was prepared, and used for steam reforming of toluene which was selected as a model compound of biomass gasification tar. A fixed-bed lab-scale set was designed and employed to evaluate the catalytic performances of the Ni-CeO2/SBA-15 catalysts. Experiments were performed to reveal the effects of several factors on the toluen...
متن کاملEffect of Reaction Pressure and Carrier Gas on Toluene Disproportionation over Molybdenum-zsm-5 Catalyst
A study was conducted to evaluate the effect of reaction pressure on the toluene disproportionation reaction using ZSM-5 zeolite based catalyst impregnated with molybdenum. Results showed that there is a marked difference in toluene conversion and xylenes selectivity using nitrogen and hydrogen carrier gases and the reaction pressure. Toluene conversion under nitrogen pressure was higher than u...
متن کاملHealth Risk Assessment of Ambient Air Concentrations of Benzene, Toluene and Xylene (BTX) in Service Station Environments
A comprehensive evaluation of the adverse health effects of human exposures to BTX from service station emissions was carried out using BTX exposure data from the scientific literature. The data was grouped into different scenarios based on activity, location and occupation and plotted as Cumulative Probability Distributions (CPD) plots. Health risk was evaluated for each scenario using the Haz...
